A law firm representing a Tiburon resident asked us to assess damage to a Monterey cypress caused by pruning of the tree by a neighbor, and to provide an appraisal of lost value. We evaluated the condition of the tree, estimated the effect of pruning on the tree’s condition, provided a prognosis for the tree, and appraised the loss in value caused by the pruning.
